	Descriptif : Underflow, one of the most promising alternative rock bands the Belgian underground scene has to offer today, are undoubtedly on the breach of a breakthrough. While 2005 already brought great satisfaction, this four piece rock combo based in Hasselt (B) has even greater expectations for 2006. Their hunger for performing has never stopped increasing ever since Underflow started out in the autumn of 2003. Today, the band has been playing numerous festivals, showcases and youth centres all over Flanders (B). Following the completion of their mini cd ‘Dystopia’ (february 2005) they played up to 40 gigs in the past year, introducing crowds to their explosive live performance and earning great respect, both from their rapidly expanding fan base as from fellow musicians. The release of their debut single and video ‘Refrain’ (november 2005) leads Underflow on to the next fase in their musical quest. Refrain launches the band into the top of the ‘Jim Puur Belgisch’ music chart. This first Underflow video got some good airplay on TMF Belgium and Jim TV. Underflow’s music may be well described as a melting pot of heavy alternative rock, stoner, and melodic-repetitive post rock. Needs it further explanation that the musical backgrounds of Front, Daf, Wal and Tinus vary from metal and nineties rock to blues, fusion and post rock? Let’s say they listen to bands such as Tool, Deftones, Audioslave and Incubus, but also Jimi Hendrix, Tortoise, Mogwai and Mouse on Mars. Their organic way of songwriting results in to-the-core music pieces with lots of energy blasts, alternated with intimate passages.
