	Descriptif : Meanstreet is a 3-pieces rock band with 2 voices, out from Brussels, Belgium. (from left to right) Kris play the basslines and sing a lot, ksa harmonises the tracks with guitars, loopers and a few samples, back Kris and sing some songs, Stef play the drums and the percussions. Since his creation in november 2002, Meanstreet have no other guidelines, no other art direction except that to provide a loud music they love. All tracks are written, composed, performed and loved by Meanstreet. Almost two years later the goal has been reached to entire satisfaction, added the fact that they have successfully avoided falling for any particular "genre" of music. «The reasons behind these choices are mainly to keep total freedom on our instruments, something we find is hard to do when following the guidelines of a particular musical style, and of course to avoid boredom..." (Kris) « If you consider music like a ‘discipline’ integrated in a larger lifestyle like – by exemple - straight, metal or hip hop movement, it’s understandable you need to follow the rules of the subculture you feel close to, with the intent to be a part of it. In this case, there is a relation between your music and your movement, a strong link between what’s the audience expect and the tracks you produce. But in our case, we play in our own league and we use the music as a pure independant expression form, an authentic extension of ourself, of our verbal use. We simply don’t need templates. » (ksa) It doesn’t mean that this trio is one of these unclassable bands that play all and anything. Meanstreet play his very own advanced rock’n’roll agreeing with the tons of punk, experimental, noise and stone rock they listen since they’re kids. At this purpose, one of the best compliment the band have ever received, is : «These guys must own a very large discs collection.» (xxx, demopoll). It speaks from itself. The live shows are something to be witnessed for their unique outburst of energy and entertainment value. Meanstreet's display of handling the fattest rock sound with precision and emotion often leaves the audience standing for pure visual and listening pleasure. That comes from the method they use : Meanstreet have composed all of their tracks in their rehearsal room : Spontaneous riffs at high volume followed by sophisticated syntaxes, considered structures and harmonised voices. That’s because meanstreet don’t compose songs before a piano, somewhere in a high class studio that they ‘burn’ literaly the scenes. It’s a natural process. They create live. This is really the point. Meanstreet has played a little over twenty shows in and around Brussels, their hometown, and already the name has gotten around as a synonym for quality. Their first E.P's. "Snow Drips Outside" and "The Only Way Out" are selling beyond expectation at shows and some venues have hosted them several times already.
